The summer has gone by quick. Work, family and friends have been keeping us busy. But in the fall, it will become even more busy as I head back to school. My wife insisted before school starts, I must take her to Lodi to go wine tasting. I like to make my wife happy so we took a little adventure.
Lodi is only 1.5 hours away, so the drive there was not bad at all. The wine tasting is great as well! Many wineries don't have tasting fees or charge a mere $5 fee that is refundable if you buy a bottle of wine. Many wineries also pair their wine with foods or chocolates. The wines are great too! Napa often uses many of the grapes Lodi produces so it's really high class.

We passed some windmills on the way over and were so happy to see them actually working. Every other time we've driven by they have been still.
St. Jorge Winery - they paired the wine with some Italian Sweet Bread and Chocolate. It was quite delicious!
Harney Lane Winery & Abundance Winery. Two really good and beautiful wineries. We'll definitely go back!
It was a long fun day of wine tasting! I gave my wife the limit of 5 wineries but because we went to one we had been before, I decided we could hit 6. There are still so many wineries to explore - but for another time . . .
